been separated from church or society

Hospitality – offering a welcoming, inclusive attitude toward all
God’s people expressing the tender love of Jesus for them and a

themselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically

Service – doing what we can for others in the spirit of the
Beatitudes and the works of mercy from Matthew 25

Upcoming Events

• Day of Reflection: Pondering the Mystery of Christ
Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

This retreat will ponder the mystery and impact of Christ in our own lives as our own deepest Self.  During our time together, through input, silence, music and poetry, we will contemplate Christ so that we can do what we must do — live Christ ever more fully and deeply in our everyday lives.

Day of Reflection: Your Faith Has Made You Well
Wednesday, May 20, 2015, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Barbara Hosbach returns to Jesus House to discuss her new book – Your Faith Has Made You Well: Jesus Heals in the New Testament

• Five Day Silent Contemplative Retreat
June 23 – June 30, 2015

Each day begins with prayer and/or brief input with guidelines about this type of prayer for those who would appreciate that help. We will sit together in silence for several periods each day, using whatever meditative practice is most familiar to you. If you come to the retreat, we assume that you have a regular practice of meditation.

Prayer Requests

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

At Jesus House Prayer and Renewal Center the Staff and Board of Directors meet regularly to pray specifically for the prayer intentions which we receive via mail, phone, and email. Also, these intentions are remembered specifically every Tuesday at our Mass held in the Chapel of Saint Joseph the Worker.

Never hesitate to contact us if we can pray for you and for your specific intentions. Feel free to call us at 302 995-6859 or email us or drop us a note by regular mail.

My house shall be called a House of Prayer
for all peoples. (Isaiah 56:7)
