Intercessory prayer is the purifying bath into which the individual
and the community must enter every day.
and the community must enter every day.
Do not lose your composure in any circumstances. Endure hardships, do the work of preaching the gospel, and carry out your ministry to the fullest extent. (2 Timothy 4:5)
Reflection: We all have our crosses in life; they are the “hardships” that Saint Paul is referring to as he addressed Timothy. In other words, be in control of yourself, no matter what the difficulty. You are called to proclaim the Good News in word and deed.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, please give me the grace like Saint Paul to “fight the good fight,” to persevere in performing good works, and to evangelize in word and action. Amen.

O burning mountain, O chosen sun,
O perfect moon, O fathomless well,
O unattainable height, O clearness beyond measure,
O wisdom without end, O mercy without limit,
O strength beyond resistance, O crown of all majesty,
The humblest you created sings your praise.

A prayer for protection by Bede
O God, who are the only hope of the world, the only refuge for unhappy men, abiding in the perfect harmony of Heaven, give me courage and strength amidst the conflicts here on Earth. Protect me from the utter ruin that would befall me if my weak faith gave way under the many blows which assail me. Remember that I am mere dust and wind and shadow, whose life is as fleeting as that of a wild flower in the grass. But may your eternal mercy, which has shone since time began, rescue me form the jaws of evil. Amen.

I Pray for my daughter Louisa our relationship doesn’t exist and she does not come home. She comes once a year and does not allow visits. She would rather share her problems with her uncles. She is not married and lives alone. She has built a wall around herself. I pray that angels shatter that wall. She experiences destruction often in her house. She’s 41yrs, not married, so I pray that light shines in her heart and mind. I pray that God binds us all with cords of love. I pray for my ministry to grow and all charms be removed from my gate. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

[We read] In the King James Bible, Ezekiel 22:30: “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
O God, please help us and teach us to build a wall [of prayer] around the USA, Canada and Poland. Are you ready to stand in the gap, where God is the Helper and Teacher?
Please pray that Poland, the USA/Canada would overcome for: (The Acts 26.18).
* Poland, pray for freedom from dead religion to saving faith in God through Jesus Christ as the Savior and the Lord by grace only,
* the Church in the USA, Canada – Pray for repentance and cleansing of the church–Matt. 3.12 “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
* my family:
1. Stir up the hearts of my family for ministry—for me, my wife Dorothy, our daughter Ann, and our sons Peter and Daniel – “..but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24.15
2. Pray God’s will and wisdom for me and my family; I ask God for great wisdom in school for Daniel, and for Edmund’s work situation, for Dorothy and Peter (also God’s direction for his life) and Ann (Ann needs a husband),
3. God’s order in my work. I ask God for great wisdom at my work. Blessings and the knowledge of Jesus Christ for my bosses. Thank God for the continuation of my work.

Most High, Glorious God, enlighten the darkness of our minds. Give us a right faith, a firm hope, and a perfect charity, so that we may always and in all things act according to your Holy Will. Amen. (Saint Francis of Assisi)

The Golden Arrow Prayer
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable,
most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God
be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored
and glorified in Heaven, on Earth,
and under the earth,
by all the creatures of God,
and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

May light eternal shine upon them, O Lord, with thy saints for evermore: for thou art gracious.
Eternal rest give to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them: with thy saints for evermore, for thou art gracious.

Lust for Violence, a prayer
It is so easy to reach out and strike someone because we feel frustrated and angry at life.
Angry with you, God.
Our hearts ache for acceptance and understanding. For a decent meal and a working toilet. For the means to help our suffering loved ones who need help but have no way of getting it.
Help all of us who pray for those who see no other way to relieve their anger except through hurting others.
Soothe the very choppy emotions inside those who believe passionately in committing violence.
Send the army of guardian angels down to us to protect those who are the targets of violence.
Make yourself known to those who have forgotten or have never known the blessed compassion of your son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, bring us your peace.

Heavenly Father, we take into our hearts those who were deeply affected by the act of a man whose heart was full of hatred at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, Tennessee.
We ask that their suffering be eased by the remembrance of our Lord’s suffering on the cross. We ask that they stand tall and proud in the glare of the lights of the news media, and that their faith remain strong throughout this ordeal.
We thank you that so many grieve for their fellow Christians who have been struck by evil.

As the fury of winds and rain ravage parts of our planet, may all of us accept the might and majesty of God and kneel before the Lord, our Maker, in humility.
