The peaceful setting on which stands Christ the King Retreat Center is holy ground, made so by God’s grace and the faith of so many who come here with a sincere longing for God. Located on spacious and secluded grounds in the city of Citrus Heights, Christ the King Passionist Retreat and Conference Center is distinguished by a spirit of serenity and tranquility, graced with kindness, compassion and hospitality. The Retreat Center is sponsored by the Passionist Congregation, Holy Cross Province.

Types of retreats include Parish Weekend Retreats, Seasonal Retreats, Group Retreats, Engaged Couples Retreats, and Recovery Retreats.
Christ the King Institute for Counseling and Spiritual Direction
Christ the King Institute is an outreach ministry of the Retreat Center. Founded in 1990, by Fr Jim Strommer CP and Elizabeth Evans MA, the mission of the Institute is to provide pastoral counseling and spiritual direction in the Catholic faith tradition here in the diocese of Sacramento. Pastoral counseling is available for both individuals and couples. Spiritual Direction is offered for individuals seeking a deeper relationship with God.
