Here we seek to embody those ideals and qualities that are at the heart of the Benedictine tradition: Reverence for learning, the shared experience of prayer, community, and hospitality.

The Benedictine Pastoral Center at St. Benedict’s Monastery is located in Northern Virginia about 35 miles from Washington, DC. The Center’s serene 100 acres is a lovely setting for reflective daily retreats. A visit could include meditative walks through the historic grounds, a visit to the beautiful monastic chapel, and spiritual direction from the Benedictine Sisters. The Center does not offer overnight retreats.
Programs include centering prayer, days of reflection, Benedictine spirituality retreats, Bible study, Desert Days, and First Friday retreats. The Benedictine Pastoral Center is currently offering many types of daily retreats to “meet our human need to rest awhile and renew our faith, our lives and our commitment to God.”
