O God, we beseech thee, watch over those exposed to the horror of war, and the dangers of a soldier’s, sailor’s or aviator’s life. Give them such a strong faith that no human threat may ever force them to deny it or fear to practice it. Do, by your grace, fortify them against the contagion of bad example, that being preserved from vice and serving you faithfully, they may be ready to meet death whenever it may happen. O Mary, Mother of God, be with them on the battlefield and shield them. Saint Joseph, pray for them....
